18/04/2019 Our neighbours have had building work now going on. The builders have created a lot of mess with mud and cement and it’s all over the road , public pathway and my drive. The mud has created dust which lands everywhere and becomes very muddy when wet. It also contains cement so worries it can block drains. Have asked neighbours politely and they said I should do it myself, which I have attempted to do along with other neighbours . I have asked the builders and they have ignored this . Not only does it look unsightly but it is causes mess and the grass verges have been damaged too image 1

18/04/2019 After seeking professional advice, I am formally writing to you to request the removal of the tree outside my property, 93 Rushams Road in Horsham, on the grounds that it is a risk to property and a threat to life in the event that its current extreme lean causes it to fall. I have included some photographs demonstrating the extent that the tree leans towards my property. The amount it leans is getting progressively worse and will inevitably lead to the tree falling catastrophically. The tree has been ‘trimmed’ in the past but, as you will see from the photos taken 16/4/19, the cutting has led to the bulk of the tree being biased towards my property. When the tree has its full set of leaves the unsupported weight obviously increases massively. Over the past two years all of the older trees in Rushams Road have been removed and/or replaced with new saplings, with the exception of the tree outside my property. Whilst I do not know the reason why the other trees were removed, it seems very odd that this tree which poses such a clear risk, has not been taken out. On the West Sussex County Council Website it states that ‘the majority of tree work we carry out is for safety reasons and falls into one of these categories… - Damage or prevention of damage to properties (where there is evidence that the tree has caused or is likely to cause damage.’ It is obvious from the photographs attached that this tree falls within this definition. image 2

18/04/2019 Hello, I reported this back in December 2018 and have not heard back ... the problem still exists and is a danger to cyclists - but the call has been closed :( For some reason the westbound coast side of the A259 Brighton Rd, Shoreham, from lighthouse entrance to Shoreham Rowing Club has been "repaired" with a "tar and grit heavy pour" on top of the road surface. Not sure why, there wasn't anything I was aware of wrong here. BUT as a cyclist who cycles along here everyday this is a very dangerous "repair". This is a narrow stretch of road and I am followed very closely here by cars, vans, trucks, lorries and buses/coaches everyday. It is now extremely bumpy (like riding over a slightly ploughed field) - if you doubt me please try cycling over it! It is about 250" (75m) long. Please can this be repaired properly with a smooth surface! I now have to pull out to the centre of the lane to avoid cycling over it and am regularly followed very closely by cars, vans, trucks, lorries and buses/coaches - some are annoyed that I do this and voice their displeasure. PLEASE can this be fixed ASAP ... and PLEASE can you email me to tell me why it was done and when it will be fixed. PREVIOUS REPORT DETAILS: it was reported on 12/12/2018 it was closed on 18/12/2018 marked as 'completed' Job Code 2493055 https://love.westsussex.gov.uk/reports/report/2f003393-7b48-4d10-8c64-2cdb235f237a
